According to the invention, such a device defines an order preparation space and a prepared-orders packaging space at least partially distinct from said order preparation space and it comprises at least one location for depositing at least one article associated with at least one order to be prepared in said at least one location, each location furthermore comprising: a front face, termed the order preparation face, comprising an article deposition indicator and a device for inputting the article deposition; a rear face, termed the extraction face, distinct from the front face, comprising an order completeness indicator.
