The invention gets rid of a conventional idea of estimating the frequency of the sine signal and discloses a novel frequency estimation method for the sine signal. The frequency estimation method for the sine signal comprises the following steps of: on the basis of the Fourier transformation, extracting phase information by key technologies such as a frequency domain zero setting technology, a time-domain phase taking technology and the like; and accurately estimating the frequency of the sine signal by the phase information. According to the method, the principle is simple; the algorithm is practical; the interpolation operation does not need to be carried out; and the requirement on the frequency of the detected signal is low.
