The invention discloses a system for converting component information. The system is characterized by comprising a reading module, a conversion module, a setting module and a storage module, wherein the reading module is used for reading component information from a component information system; the conversion module is used for converting the read component information into the component information suitable for hardware description language; the setting module is used for modifying a format of the converted component information according to the requirements of the client; and the storage module is used for storing the component information after the format is modified completely to a library manager database; and meanwhile, the invention further provides a method for converting component information. According to the system and the method for converting the component information, the user can call the component information quickly to draw circuit diagrams, thereby improving the working efficiency.
