Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a nutritional water retention agent for planting cash crops in a desertification region, which is prepared from plant straws, decomposed cow manure, sheep manure or chicken manure, paligorskite clay, loess, argil, laterite or black soil, a potassium fertilizer, a nitrogen fertilizer, a phosphorus fertilizer, rooting powder and a propenyl water retention agent. The prepared nutritional water retention agent has favorable water absorptivity, water retention property and gel strength, thus being suitable for the use for planting shinyleaf yellowhorns, walnuts, Chinese dates and other economic forests in a desertification region of which the annual rainfall is less than 150mm, and being also suitable for the use for planting zhonghua gaiguo fruits and other cash crops in a desertification region of which the annual rainfall is 150-300mm.
