Bumper

The invention provides a bumper, which can improve the assemblability of a damping force generation mechanism. A pilot type main valve (27) and a pilot valve (28) are used to control the flow of oil generated by the sliding of a piston in a cylinder (2) to generate a damping force, and the pilot valve (28) is used to adjust the inner pressure of a control chamber (51) to control the opening of the main valve (27). A solenoid block (31) and a valve block (30) of the damping force generation mechanism are assembled respectively, the main valve (27) and the pilot valve (28) being installed in the valve block, and the solenoid block (31) and the valve block (30) are further integrally combined and inserted into a housing (25), and are fixed with a nut (34). Then, an operating rod (76) of the solenoid block is snapped with a pilot valve member (56) which is kept in a cylinder part (37C) of a pilot valve body of the valve block by using a control spring (59) and a fault prevention spring (60).
