Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a two-stroke engine (1) which has a cylinder (2), and a piston (5) is supported in the cylinder in a reciprocating manner. The piston drives a crankshaft (7) which is rotatably supported in the crankcase (3) through a connecting rod (6). The connecting rod (6) is connected with the piston through a piston pin (15). An air inlet winder (10) is arranged which is controlled by the piston and used for air for combustion. The piston is separately configured in a combustion chamber (4) in the cylinder (2) and a space (9) in the crankcase and has a piston tip (31), a lower side (32) of the piston tip faces the crankcase (3). To realize good cooling of the piston (5) and a piston pin bearing (16), first flow guide elements (19, 62) are arranged in the space (9) in the crankcase and next to the air inlet window (10), which enables the air for combustion which flows through the air inlet window (10) to change its direction in a direction towards the lower side (32) of the piston tip (31).
