The invention discloses a bidding method and system. The bidding method comprises the following steps: obtaining a bidding document input by a worker, wherein the bidding document comprises bidding contents, bidding requirements; setting bidding starting time and setting bidding finishing time; sending the bidding document to suppliers in a pre-set time, wherein the suppliers are the suppliers having the ability of producing bidding products; obtaining the bidding document provided by the suppliers; and determining the bidding document meeting the requirements from the bidding documents provided by the suppliers. A huge amount of manpower is saved because the entire process is automatically completed by the system. In addition, compared with the fact that the prior art conveys information completely by a mode of faxing or emailing, the scheme provided by the invention has better security.
