Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a cage (1) for a ball joint, wherein the cage has a ring shape around a longitudinal axis, wherein the cage has an inner surface (2), an outer surface (3), two edges (4, 5) that bound the inner surface and the outer surface, and a window (6), wherein the inner surface surrounds an interior (7) of the cage, wherein two webs (9) are laterally adjacent to the window. According to the invention, one edge (4, 5) has an offset relative to the longitudinal axis at the height of the window (6) with respect to one of the two webs (9). The invention further relates to a corresponding ball joint.
