Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for connecting a component (1) having a visually relevant front (2) and a visually irrelevant rear (3) to an add-on component (4). In order to make it possible to interconnect flat components, such as bumpers, by mechanical dovetailing, thereby ensuring a cost-effective way of interconnecting thin-walled flat class A painted components, recesses (5) are produced in the rear (3) of the component (1), said recesses (5) being oriented at different angles to the surface normal (6) of the rear (3) of the component (1). The recesses (5) do not break through the visually relevant front (2) but end at such a distance (7) to the front (2) at which no visible deformations to the front (2) are produced. The add-on component (4) is then mortised and form-locked with the component (1) via connecting bodies (8), said connecting bodies (8) being inserted with one end into the recesses (5) and with the other end projecting through the add-on component (4) or being fastened thereto. |
