The invention discloses a multifunctional photoelectric signal detector for a locomotive, which relates to a detector used for detecting revolving speed signals, such as the revolving speed of a DF8B-modelinternal combustion locomotive and the revolving speed of a traction motor by a photoelectric signal. The multifunctional photoelectric signal detector for a locomotive mainly solves the problems of big volume, inconvenience in moving, low precision, no signal detection function and low manual operation efficiency of the known revolving speed signal detection device. The detector is characterized in that a first indicator light is connected between a contact point C and a contact point A of a socket C3JH in parallel; a second indicator light is connected between a contact point G and a contact point F in parallel; a third indicator light is connected between a contact point J and a contact point H in parallel; one contact point of a pulse signal input socket is connected with a contact point B and a contact
