The invention discloses a dynamic reactive voltage adjusting device of a high voltage line and an adjusting method thereof. The device comprises N magnetic control electric reactor branches, fixed capacitor branches, arrester branches, outdoor high voltage falling type fuse protectors, an outdoor high voltage line current transformer and a controller. Each magnetic control electric reactor branch is composed of a magnetic control electric reactor and is provided with a current transformer. After the nth magnetic control electric reactor branch, the nth fixed capacitor branch and the nth arrester branch are connected in parallel and are connected on an outdoor high voltage bus through the nth outdoor high voltage falling type fuse protector.
