Application of chloramphenicol in preparing medicament for treating malignant plasma-cell disorder

The invention discloses application of chloramphenicol in preparing medicament for treating malignant plasma-cell disorder, and in particular relates to a medicament for treating multiple myeloma. Experiments prove that: the chloramphenicol acts on myeloma cells, the inhibition of chloramphenicol to tumor cell proliferation has dosage and time dependence, which means that the inhibition effect to tumor cell proliferation becomes more remarkable along with increase of medicament dosage or prolonging of medicament action time, and the median lethal dose in 48 hours of chloramphenicol is 142.45mu g/ml (RPMI 8266) and 315.22mu g/ml (U266). Experiment data indicates that the chloramphenical can inhibit growth of tumor cells, and causes tumor cell apoptosis.
