The invention provides an intelligent security system and an intelligent security platform based on internet of things, belonging to the technical field of security. The system provided by the invention comprises the intelligent security platform and a security module which are connected with each other; the security module comprises an infrared security module, a video monitoring security module and an entrance guard security module. The intelligent security platform provided by the invention comprises a central processing module, a wireless communication module, a network communication module, a cloud storage module and a user data processing module. According to an embodiment of the invention, the existing infrared security module, the video monitoring security module and the entrance guard security module can be integrated to be connected to the intelligent security platform for uniform management through internet of things, and in comparison with a plurality of independent monitoring modules, the intelli
