Zusammenfassung:	A control valve (10) is described, in particular for metering in a fluid for a delivery pump (2) which is arranged downstream, having a flow channel (20), an axially movable valve needle (14), a valve element (16) which can be loaded by the valve needle (14) in an opening direction and is arranged in the flow channel (20), wherein, if the valve element (16) is actuated in the opening direction by the valve needle (14), the fluid can flow (backflow) through the flow channel (20) at least temporarily counter to the opening direction of the valve element (16), and wherein, upstream of the valve element (16) as viewed in the backflow direction (22), the flow channel (20) has a fluidically active shield (24) which keeps the backflow at least partially free of a surface (36) of the valve element (16).
