Zusammenfassung:Disclosed is a yield increasing gene OsPTR9 for improving the utilization efficiency of nitrogen in rice etc. and the use thereof. OsPTR9 is a gene of the PTR family of rice, the protein coded by which is a transporter of a nitrogen-containing organism. Over-expression of OsPTR9 gene can improve the absorption efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer of normal rice etc., enhance the tillering capability, and increase the panicle length and the thousand grain weight. The function of the gene is proved by RNAi and mutation techniques. The increase or reduction of the expression amount of OsPTR9 gene using gene engineering techniques proves that OsPTR9 gene can control the nitrogen absorption, the plant tillering, the panicle length and the thousand grain weight of rice etc. This gene can be used for increasing the utilization efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer and the yield of monocotyledons and dicotyledons, such as rice, wheat and tobacco etc.
