Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an application of palygorskite clay serving as an adsorbent in treatment of picric acid waste water, belonging to the technical field of wastewater treatment. The palygorskite clay serving as the adsorbent can be powder obtained after the palygorskite clay raw ore is crushed directly, purified palygorskite clay or palygorskite clay physically modified by utilizing acid treatment or thermal treatment or chemically modified by utilizing a surface active agent or coupling agent. The adsorption test proves that all types of palygorskite clay can favorably adsorb the picric acid in an aqueous phase with low adding amount and low cost. The wastewater treatment result fully meets the requirement of the Detection and Analysis Methods of Water and Wastewater (Fourth Edition) and GB8978-1996. Therefore, palygorskite clay has bright application prospect.
