The present invention provides an apparatus for fracturing polycrystalline silicon, which can prevent unfractured blocks of polycrystalline silicon from passing therethrough and can fracture the polycrystalline silicon as blocks with expected sizes, and a method for producing fractured fragments of polycrystalline silicon. The apparatus for fracturing polycrystalline silicon has: a pair of rolls which are rotated in a counter direction each other around parallel axes; and a plurality of fracturing teeth (5) protruding outward radially from outer peripheral surfaces of the rolls (3) and having variant heights.
