Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses a nickel base alloy target for a perpendicular magnetic recording media interlayer, which comprises the following components in weight percentage: 15%-35% of tungsten, 5%-15% of chromium and the balance of nickel. The manufacturing method of the target comprises the following steps: respectively weighing raw materials of Ni, W and Cr with the purities above 99.9% according to the designed component proportions of the target, melting and casting to an ingot casting by vacuum induction; then performing hot forging, cold rolling and recrystallization annealing on the ingot casting to obtain a target blank; and finally machining the target blank by a target blank machine to obtain the finished product target. The manufacturing method of the invention has simple process and low cost and is suitable for industrial production. The produced nickel base alloy target has good properties: the purity of the target is above 99.9%, the content of oxygen is within 200ppm; the fluctuation of the alloy
