Nickel base alloy target for perpendicular magnetic recording media interlayer and manufacturing method thereof

The invention discloses a nickel base alloy target for a perpendicular magnetic recording media interlayer, which comprises the following components in weight percentage: 15%-35% of tungsten, 5%-15% of chromium and the balance of nickel. The manufacturing method of the target comprises the following steps: respectively weighing raw materials of Ni, W and Cr with the purities above 99.9% according to the designed component proportions of the target, melting and casting to an ingot casting by vacuum induction; then performing hot forging, cold rolling and recrystallization annealing on the ingot casting to obtain a target blank; and finally machining the target blank by a target blank machine to obtain the finished product target. The manufacturing method of the invention has simple process and low cost and is suitable for industrial production.
