Zusammenfassung:The invention describes a method for operating a starting device (1) having a starter motor (2) for starting an internal combustion engine, in particular a vehicle, wherein the starter motor(2) can be switched on and off via a starter controller (5) having a switching relay (3). In order to achieve a longer lifetime of the starting device (1), during the starting operation the starter motor (2) is activated in a power controlling-manner by the starter controller (5).
