The invention relates to a headbox for a machine for producing a fibrous web from a fibrous suspension, having a feed device (4, 5) which feeds the fibrous suspension, having a distributor pipe perforated plate (6) which directly adjoins the feed device in the flow direction of the fibrous suspension, having an intermediate duct (8) which directly adjoins the distributor pipe perforated plate in the flow direction and which has two walls (9.1, 9.2), having a turbulence generating means (10) which directly adjoins the intermediate duct in the flow direction, and having a headbox nozzle (13) which directly adjoins the turbulence generating means in the flow direction, wherein the feed device, the distributor pipe perforated plate and the intermediate duct are arranged in a first plane of alignment (AE.1); and the turbulence generating means and the headbox nozzle are arranged in a second plane of alignment (AE.2), and wherein the two planes of alignment enclose an angle (a) in the range > 90 DEG and < 180 DEG .
