A power source connection unit connects a power source with a main apparatus. Operation information for operating an apparatus main body is stored in a volatile memory. A power supply means supplies power from the power source to the volatile memory. A non-operating state request acceptance means accepts a non-operating state request for shifting the apparatus main body from an operating state to a non-operating state. A power supply control means causes the power supply means to supply power to the volatile memory over a predetermined period when the non-operating state request is accepted by the non-operating state request acceptance means. A mode identification means identifies the mode of the non-operating state request. A change means is provided with a setting means for setting the predetermined period according to the mode identified by the mode identification means.
