Novel benthonic animal sampler

The invention relates to a novel sampler for collecting benthonic animals. The sampler comprises a sampler protection cover, a round gauze screen base, a support rod pulling rope and a pulling rope, wherein the sampler protection cover is fixedly connected to one side of the upper end face of the round gauze screen base in a rotating mode and is opened or closed with the round gauze screen base. After the sampler is put into a water bottom, an appropriate artificial habitat is provided for the benthonic animals, a large number of benthonic animals can actively migrate to the round gauze screen base after staying for a certain period of time, a support rod is pulled through the support rod pulling rope, and the sampler protection cover is closed, so that the benthonic animals cannot escape, and collection efficiency is high; meanwhile, substrate sludge is basically not disturbed in the collection process, so the secondary pollution of a water body is avoided, and a water ecological environment is protected.
