Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a novel ultrathin thermal insulation material, which comprises a metal layer, a bonding layer coating and a thermal insulation layer, wherein the bonding layer coating is sprayed or deposited on the surface of the metal layer; the thermal insulation layer is sprayed or deposited on the surface of the bonding layer; the bonding layer and the thermal insulation layer are formed on the metal layer in a grid arrangement form; and a certain gap is reserved between every two cells of the grid. The invention further provides a method for producing the thermal insulation material, which comprises the following steps of: covering a metal net on the surface of the metal layer and enabling the metal net to cling to the surface of the metal layer so as to cut off or fold the metal layer during use of the thermal insulation material; spraying metal powder on the surface of the metal layer, which is covered by the metal net, to from the bonding layer; and spraying ceramic powder on the bonding layer
