The invention relates to a lifting mechanism of hoisting equipment and a limit switch assembly thereof. The lifting mechanism comprises: a pulley, a lifting part encircling below the pulley through a main wire rope, a jacking-up part rigidly connected to the lifting part and a limit switch assembly. The limit switch assembly consists of a limit switch body and a heavy hammer suspended below the limit switch body by a rigid part, at least one end of which is connected to the limit switch body or the heavy hammer through a flexible part. The limit switch body is installed on a steel structure at the upper part of the lifting mechanism, and the heavy hammer is sleeved on the main wire rope through a U-shaped ring.
