Zusammenfassung:	The present invention is for a liquid crystal display device having a patterned retarder enabling stereoscopic image display and a light reflector capable of improving luminous efficiency provided on a panel of the display device, and a manufacturing method thereof, the liquid crystal display device includes; first and second substrates arranged opposite each other, a light reflector on the first substrate, a first black stripe on the second substrate facing to the light reflector corresponding to the light reflector, a liquid crystal layer formed between the first and second substrates, a retarder provided on top of the second substrate, a reflector placed below the first substrate, and a light source positioned below the reflector.
