Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is an aqueous coating agent which enables the formation of a good coating film by an in-mold coating technique, and which can be used in an in-mold coating process comprising applying the coating agent on the inner wall of a cavity within a mold to form a coating film and injecting a filler material into a gap between an object to be treated and the coating film, thereby forming a coating film comprising the filler material and the above-mentioned coating film as the outermost layer on the surface of the object for the purpose of solving a problem of the disposal of an organic solvent. The aqueous coating agent is mainly composed of water and a film forming aid. When 10 g of the aqueous coating agent is placed in an acrylic pipe having a height of 1 m and an inner diameter of 34 mm and the pressure in the acrylic pipe is reduced to form a foam, the height of the foam is 400 mm or more.
