Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a positioning of an auxiliary amalgam, and provides a compact fluorescent lamp, and a method for positioning an auxiliary amalgam in a compact fluorescent lamp. The compact fluorescent lamp (100) includes a discharge tube (104) having cathodes (124) disposed adjacent opposite ends. A fill gas is disposed within the discharge tube (104). The lamp further includes an auxiliary amalgam (250) located in the discharge tube (104) and dispersed in the arc to be heated thereby for emitting mercury vapor during at least a starting period.
