The invention provides a multi-cylinder rotary compressor, which is not prone to refrigerant leakage from joints of separating plates which separate multiple compression chambers even when in the special running mode. The peripheries of dividing plates (130, 131) that constitute separating plates (114) for separating compression chambers are provided with cut portions. The separating plates are combined, and an arrow portion of a metal circular ring (135) is pressed to be deformed while the metal circular ring (135) is disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the separating plates. When the pressing operation is released, the circular arc space is formed between the inner peripheral surface of the metal circular ring (135) and the outer peripheral surface of the separating plates (114). A spring is disposed at a position where the metal circular ring (135) and the space are connected to absorb the interference so as to practically fix the dividing plates (130, 131).
