The capsule is prepared by packaging medicinal powder through absorbent cotton gauze and sewing the gauze, and is characterized by comprising the following medicinal powder components in percentage by weight: 30 to 60 percent of folium artemisiae argyi carbon fine powder, 5 to 40 percent of phellodendron fine powder,0 to 40 percent of atractylodes rhizome fine powder and 5 to 25 percent of calamine fine powder, wherein the medicinal powder is packaged by double-layer absorbent cotton gauze, and the peripheral ofthe gauze is sewed by threads to form an umbilical gauze capsule. The invention has the advantages that: the capsule has the effects of dampness elimination, heat clearance and detoxification; the umbilical cord can be dried to fall within a short time when the umbilical gauze capsule is covered on the navel of the neonate after the umbilical cord cutting treatment of the neonate, so that the comfort degree of the neonate
