Zusammenfassung:	A surface treatment method, which is capable of continuously and efficiently performing high quality surface treatment that can improve adhesion between a substrate and a functional layer by preventing oligomers from oozing out onto the substrate surface with the passage of time from surface treatment when performing surface treatment on the surface of a polyester substrate using an atmospheric-pressure plasma treatment, is provided. The method comprises an atmospheric-pressure plasma step for treating the surface of the substrate by atmospheric-pressure plasma, and a heating step for heating the surface of the substrate to a temperature exceeding the glass transition temperature Tg before the atmospheric-pressure plasma treatment step.
