Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an analytical test strip instrument comprising an exchangeable test strip unit (14) with a test strip (16) that is provided with a plurality of test elements (18) for exposure to a bodily fluid, and comprising a strip drive (12) for advancing the test strip (16), said drive capable of being coupled to the test strip unit (14), such that the test elements (18) can be prepared successively at an application station. According to the invention, the strip drive (12) comprises a direct current motor (26) and a reducing gear (28) disposed between the direct current motor (26) and the test strip unit (14).
