Use of oridonin in preparation of medicines for generating immunodepression effect

The invention discloses the use of oridonin in the preparation of medicines for acquiring an immunodepression effect. The acquired immunodepression effect is implemented by inducing apoptosis of peripheral lymphocyte with by using oridonin. Experiments prove that oridonin at a concentration of 6 to 18 mu mol/L can promote the apoptosis and necrosis of lymphocytes both in vivo and in vitro and kill immunocytes, and that oridonin at an in-vivo application concentration of 10 mu mol/L can inhibit the functions of the immune system of the body. The oridonin used in the invention can be used as an immunosuppressive agent for autoimmunity disease treatment, organ transplantation and the like, a new use of the oridonin is found, and a new application field is exploited.
