Zusammenfassung:	A wheelset bearing (10) for a rail vehicle comprises a position detection device (9), which includes a preferably satellite-aided radio position detection receiver (4), a radio transmitter (3) which transmits position data supplied by the radio position detection receiver to a remote server (30), and a power supply unit for supplying the position detection device (9) with electric power. The power supply unit comprises an electric generator (8) having a rotor (1) and a stator (2), wherein the rotor (1) can be driven by a wheelset bearing (14) that is rotatably mounted in the wheelset bearing housing (10). The stator (2) is installed on the inside of a cover (16) of the wheelset bearing housing. The electric generator (8) is preferably designed as a hub generator without bearing.
