Zusammenfassung:The present invention provides a system for determining whether a coupler of a locomotive is coupled to other locomotive. The system comprises: a sensor configured to provide a signal indicative of a coupled state of a coupler; a transmitter in operable communication with the sensor to receive and transmit the signal; a state detection system configured to receive the signal from the transmitter, and including; and a controller; and a storage medium, wherein the the sensor is configured to be a video camcorder for providing a video signal to the controller, wherein the controller also includes image processing algorithms for determining whether the video signal describes coupled or decoupled locomotive.
