Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a liquid crystal aligning agent, a liquid crystal alignment film and a liquid crystal display element. The invention provides a liquid crystal aligning agent which can provide a good pretilt angle and form a liquid crystal alignment film with excellent stability and with the provided pretilt angle changed over time when the liquid crystal alignment film is formed by a photoalignment method and is used for a VA type liquid crystal display element. The liquid crystal aligning agent comprises at least one polymer selected from a group formed by polyamic ester and partially imidized polyamic ester, and the polyamic ester comprises a specific group represented by a group shown in the following formula.
