A preparation method of the sulfur-based ion liquid based multi-sulfur electrolyte comprises the following steps of: (1) selecting a reactant A from imidazole, imidazole derivatives, pyridine,pyridine derivatives and halides of quaternary ammonium and causing A to pass through strongly alkaline ion exchange resin so as to obtain an ionic liquid B solution, the negative ion of which is hydroxyl ion; (2) introducing excessive hydrogen sulfide in the B solution so as to obtain a sulfur-based ion liquid solution, the negative ion of which is sulfide ion; (3) carrying out reduced pressure distillation to remove the water and the impure gases in the solution and then carrying out vacuum drying to obtain the pure sulfur-based ion liquid; and (4) dissolving sulfur and the sulfur-based ionliquid in a solvent or an |
