Novel titanium salt catalyst and catalytic esterification reaction thereof

The invention discloses application of a novel and cheap titanium salt catalyst in esterification reaction. Titanium tetrachloride subjected to load treatment can catalyze esterification reaction of carboxylic acid and alcohol with high activity under the reaction condition so as to replace the traditional inorganic strong acidic catalysts, thereby simplifying the posttreatment process of esterification reaction. Proved by research results, compared with other solid acid catalysts (solid super acidic esterification catalysts), the usage amount of the catalyst disclosed by the invention is greatly reduced under the condition that esterification selectivity and product yield are not changed substantially, and the catalyst and reaction products are convenient to separate after the esterification reaction. The catalyst disclosed by the invention can be filtered and recycled and can be used for many times after simple treatment.
