Dynamic gesture control system and method

The invention discloses dynamic gesture control system and method. The system comprises a computer and a camera, wherein the camera is directly connected with the computer. The method comprises the steps of: recognizing a static gesture, tracking a dynamic gesture, and recognizing the dynamic gesture. The invention has the advantages of non contact: a user can realize the tracking and the recognizing of the dynamic gesture of the user through only the camera without any assisting equipment; no calibration: the use of the system is simplified, the gesture control is started rapidly and tracked rapidly and recognized accurately; and low cost: at present, various data gloves are high in purchasing and maintaining price, the common camera has low cost and does not need the maintenance, thus the purchasing and the maintaining costs of the gesture control system are greatly lowered.
