Zusammenfassung:	The invention describes an injection unit (1) of an injection-moulding machine, in particular of a injection-moulding compounder, having a plasticizing unit (2), a ram injection assembly (7) and, if appropriate, an intermediate accumulator (6). In order to implement a first-in, first-out concept, according to the invention that one or more grooves (24, 27) are provided in the inner wall of the injection cylinder (20) and/or in the injection ram (21) in order to transport the melt. The grooves may be in the form of longitudinal grooves or a helix. The intermediate accumulator (6) has analogous grooves (16) in the inner wall of the accumulator cylinder (14) and/or in the accumulator ram (15).
