In the first sheet feeding section equipped with a pluraltiy of sheet cassettes, a receiving sheet P enters the vertical sheet feeding passage 191 and then is sharply curved upward at the entrance of the vertical sheet feeding passage 191, thereby preventing the sheet jamming problem when employing the large-thickness receiving sheets without large-size of the device. Only at the first feeding section in a plurality of sheet feeding sections, the receiving sheet entering into the vertical sheet feeding passage 191 bents along a curved passage having a greater curvature radius formed by other sheet feeding section in touch with the second driven roller; and meanwhile, a curved guide portion 185 is arranged to guide the second gripper of the second sheet feeding section and replace the second driven roller.
