Blocking device for blocking an essential component of a motor vehicle, particularly for blocking a steering column of a motor vehicle

The invention relates to a blocking device (1) for blocking an essential component (2) of a motor vehicle, particularly for blocking a steering column of a motor vehicle. The device has a lock bolt (5) housed in a housing (3) and moving in a stroke axis (6) between a locking position of the locking component (2) and a release position for locking and releasing the component. The lock bolt locks at the locking position in aid of an insurance piece (8) cooperated with a shape cooperation geometry structure (7) of the lock bolt and movably arranged in the housing and a support arm (9) is arranged to prevent the engagement of insurance piece in the structure (7) from being released, namely when the support arm moves from the blocking position, the insurance piece is engaged with the structure (7) to prevent the lock bolt from emerging from the locking position. According to the invention, the housing comprises a housing part (3a) with a safety-relevant housing region (10), and the support arm and the housing regi
