Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to measurement technology. In order to increase the speed, sensitivity and accuracy of the hydrocarbon dew point measurement in the hydrocarbon dew point measurement method, the gas under investigation is passed to a cooled element with a condensation surface at which a luminous flux is directed at an angle which ensures reflection of said luminous flux into an observation aperture, the condensation surface of the cooled element is cooled and the magnitude of the luminous flux reflected from the condensation surface is recorded and used to determine the hydrocarbon dew point, wherein the material used for the condensation surface of the cooled element is silicon.
