Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides a slide mechanism which comprises the following components: a plate; at least one guide which extends along one direction and is connected with the plate; and a slide which is connected with the at least one guide. The slide comprises a first arm restrained by the at least one guide and a second arm connected with the first guide; wherein the length of the first arm in the direction is larger than that of the second arm in the direction. The invention also provides a method for mounting the slide mechanism, which comprises the following steps: inserting a first guide into the plate; mounting the first guide with a first arm of the slide; positioning the slide on the plate; and inserting a second guide into the plate thereby restraining the slide relatively to the plate.
