Configuration method and device of address resolution protocol entry

A method and apparatus for configuring an address resolution protocol entry are disclosed in the present invention. The method includes: inquiring IP interfaces of a first device and a second device which is connected with the first device by fiber in a Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) in which the physical port of the second device locates (S101); inquiring the IP interfaces of the first device and the second device under the same network section in the VLAN (S102); acquiring the IP address and the Media Access Control (MAC) address corresponding to the IP interface of the second device under the network section, and establishing a mapping relationship between the IP address and the MAC address (S103); adding the mapping relationship to the address resolution protocol entry corresponding to the IP interface of the first device under the network section (S104).
