The invention provides a real-time stream media transmitting method based on a time-driven sliding window protocol, which improves the traditional sliding window algorithm and provides the time-driven sliding window protocol, wherein the sliding window takes time as the unit and generation and transmission of the lost lists depend on whether the time window is overtime, thus a timestamp is added to each data packet. The method greatly improves the transport real time of the audio and video data, ensures high-quality transport and transmission of the audios and videos, simultaneously effectively avoids the negative effects that the arriving data packets are retransmitted and vast invalid retransmitted lists occupy extra bandwidth through the boundary disorder blanking window technology andgreatly improves the actual performance of the stream media server. The method ensures the stream media server to have good adaptability and robustness to network jittering, network rates and stream media code rates.
