Elevator apparatus and method using elevator apparatus to perform aed operation

Provided is an elevator apparatus, capable of always holding AED at the serviceable condition whether or not fault takes place at the elevator, and capable of carrying AED as early as possible when patient generates, so that the measures can be taken in time. The elevator apparatus provides services to the elevator entrance in a plurality of floors in the building through an elevator cage. The elevator apparatus has an AED, provided in the floor having an elevator entrance; an AED special call button, provided in the floor for starting the AED special operation; and a setting floor storage device, which stores the AED setting floors. In the elevator apparatus, after the AED special call button push operation have been performed, the elevator cage takes the floor that has performed the AED special call button push operating as the AED special operation call floor to directly operate to the floor, and then, the elevator cage runs to the setting floor, and then returns to the AED special operation call floor.
