Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for the production of at least one gas from air by cryogenic distillation in at least a first operating mode, an auxiliary turbine (27) aspirates a gaseous fraction of the air flow which has been cooled in the main exchange line (7), the aspiration pressure of the auxiliary turbine is substantially greater or equal to the mean pressure, and a portion of the components of the air is produced in liquid form as a final product and in a second operating mode, the air flow processed in the auxiliary turbine is reduced and the production of liquid as a final product is decreased.
