Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses a device for detecting a foreign object in a banknote passage, which comprises a laser light source, a first light sensor and a second light sensor. The laser light source is arranged on a first side and used for emitting a coherent laser beam towards a second side. The first light sensor is arranged on the second side and used for receiving the coherent laser beam and judging the intensity of the coherent laser beam. The second light sensor is arranged on one of a top side and a bottom side, when the foreign object is in the banknote passage, the intensity of the coherent laser beam received by the first light sensor is weakened by the obstruction of the foreign object, and the second light source detects at least partial coherent laser beam reflected, refracted, diffracted or scattered by the foreign object at the same time.
