The compactor comprises a compression chamber, a guide pair and a guide column, wherein an opening is formed on the top of the compression chamber; a compression mechanism is arranged at the opening and comprises a drive unit and a compression head of which the shape is matched with that of the opening of the compression chamber so as to compress trash; the guide pair is arranged on a side wall of the compression chamber; and the guide column is arranged on a side of the compression mechanism and matched with the compression pair, and the guide column is arranged in the guide pair and can move along the guide pair in a limited manner.
