Latch needle for circular knitting machine

Provided is a latch needle for a circular knitting machine, which has a relatively simple structure but can knit a double loop fabric stable in a fine gauge. In the circular knitting machine latch needle (7), a recess (8) is formed between a connecting portion (4) and a hook (5), and an angle (a), which is formed by the inner wall (10) of the hook (5) together with the upper face (11) of the connecting portion (4), is made less than 55 degrees. It is preferred that the radius (Rb) of a curve to form the recess (8) is made less than 0.25 mm, that the step (H) between the recess (8) and the upper face (11) of the connecting portion (4) is at least 0.03 mm, and that the radius (Ra) of the inner wall (10) of the hook (5) is at least 1.0 mm.
